Job Description: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing security team. In this crucial role, you will be at the forefront of defending client networks and infrastructure against a dynamic threat landscape. With a strong emphasis on early threat detection, thorough assessment, and a deep understanding of the ransomware ecosystem, you will continuously monitor security systems, analyze potential threats, implement security measures, and provide expert guidance to mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of hands-on experience in maintaining security solutions to protect enterprise systems, networks, and data. Key Responsibilities: ∙ Vigilant Security Monitoring: Establish and maintain robust security monitoring processes and tools, providing real-time visibility into client network and infrastructure activity. Analyze logs, security alerts, and network traffic to identify suspicious patterns and anomalies. ∙ Proactive Threat Detection and Triage: Leverage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and other technologies to identify potential security threats and Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) in their early stages. Conduct initial analysis and triage of security alerts to determine their validity and potential impact. ∙ Comprehensive Security Assessment: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client networks and infrastructure to pinpoint security weaknesses and misconfigurations. Analyze findings, prioritize risks, and recommend effective remediation strategies. ∙ Ransomware Defense Expertise: Apply a strong understanding of the ransomware threat landscape, including attack vectors, tactics, and emerging trends, to implement and manage preventative security controls such as Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), anti-malware solutions, and email security gateways. Contribute to the development and maintenance of ransomware incident response plans. ∙ Security Infrastructure Support: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of security infrastructure components, including firewalls, VPNs, content filters, and other security appliances, ensuring optimal performance and security. ∙ Incident Response Participation: Actively participate in incident response efforts, particularly those involving potential or confirmed security breaches, including ransomware incidents. Assist with containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis. What You Bring: ∙ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. ∙ 5+ years of proven experience in cybersecurity or information security. ∙ Deep understanding of network and system security principles, cryptography, secure coding, and threat modelling. ∙ Hands-on expertise with security tools like Wireshark, Nessus, Burp Suite, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, and similar technologies. ∙ Solid experience with SIEM, EDR, and firewall management. ∙ Familiarity with cloud security platforms (AWS or Azure). ∙ Demonstrated expertise in incident detection and response. ∙ Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities. ∙ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
